Dr Marilize Everts is employed as a Lecturer in Advanced Thermal Engineering for Electric Propulsion Systems in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Sciences, University College London. She obtained distinction on all her graded degrees and was the top-scoring student in her BEng, BEng (Hons) and MEng degrees from the University of Pretoria. She obtained her PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2018 from the University of Pretoria.
Dr Everts is a member of the Advanced Propulsion Lab and the Energy and Environment Research Group. Her research thus far led to new insights and a more fundamental understanding of mixed convection and transitional flow. She publishes her research in high impacts international journals and conferences. Her performance and contribution to science and research have been recognised by national and international awards, as well as invited keynotes and guest lectures.
